Brookes Restaurant is part of the Oxford School of Hospitality Management and is recognised as one of the leading restaurants within Oxfordshire. The Restaurant is operated by a full time team of professional and dedicated staff who are passionate about food and service, and the development of our students.
The Restaurant has been designed to create a space that inspires a student's learning and development whilst working in a 'real life' setting.
As a team we embrace key culinary and ethical principles that reflect concern for the environment, as well as a desire to support national, local and artisan producers which can be seen in our menus, focussing on the best of British seasonal ingredients.
We support and influence local restaurateurs, food producers, writers and hospitality operators by engaging them in discussion and debate with forums such as Oxford Gastronomica and OG Seen building strong relationships and sharing best practice.
We house the Brookes Restaurant Cookery and Wine School offering many courses throughout the year with some now being offered with a formal qualification.
Finally, our facilities can also be used at weekends or on any weekday evening. We recognise that our restaurant really lends itself to bespoke events from weddings, private dinners, meetings and canapé receptions. The knowledge and expertise of our team allows us to tailor make your event.
Over the last few years, Brookes Restaurant has built a wealth of external relationships from local business to entrepreneurial individuals and identified a common interest from all; that of a space for like-minded people to come together for good food, good wine and conversation with an educational twist, given by a series of guest speakers throughout the year.
