About Us

Brookes Restaurant is part of the Oxford School of Hospitality Management and is recognised as one of the leading restaurants within Oxfordshire. The Restaurant is operated by a full time team of professional and dedicated staff who are passionate about food and service, and the development of our students.

The Restaurant has been designed to create a space that inspires a student's learning and development whilst working in a 'real life' setting.

As a team we embrace key culinary and ethical principles that reflect concern for the environment, as well as a desire to support national, local and artisan producers which can be seen in our menus, focussing on the best of British seasonal ingredients.

We support and influence local restaurateurs, food producers, writers and hospitality operators by engaging them in discussion and debate with forums such as Gastronomica and OG Seen building strong relationships and sharing best practice.

We house the Brookes Restaurant Cookery and Wine School offering many courses throughout the year with some now being offered with a formal qualification.

Finally, our facilities can also be used at weekends or on any weekday evening. We recognise that our restaurant really lends itself to bespoke events from weddings, private dinners, meetings and canapé receptions. The knowledge and expertise of our team allows us to tailor make your event.

Supper Club (Indian Themed)

Over the last few years, Brookes Restaurant has built a wealth of external relationships from local business to entrepreneurial individuals and identified a common interest from all; that of a space for like-minded people to come together for good food, good wine and conversation with an educational twist, given by a series of guest speakers throughout the year.

All evenings will start at 6.30pm and finish approx. 8.30pm.

"I enjoyed the Modern British cookery course I attended earlier in the year. The tutors were excellent and extremely helpful and friendly, as were all the course participants. I came away from the course inspired to put what I had learnt into practice."

"I don't think you can find a better restaurant in Oxford, bread and pasta are handmade and the food extremely fresh and well presented. The chefs even came to the table to talk to us about how the food was prepared and asked us about our opinion on the meal. It was by far the best lunch I had so far in Oxford."

"I just wanted to say a huge thank you. The meal and venue were amazing and thank you to the chef for sorting out such a delicious vegan meal for me."

"Watching the students develop their skills is something rather special and I am pleased to be part of the process."

"Brookes Restaurant has really grasped the essence of understanding how to create menus that reflect local and British produce."

"My first time, just amazed at the creativity and simplicity of the food, we'll be back."

"Great choice of venue, excellent service and delicious food."
