Cookery and Wine School 2015/16
Now recognised as one of the county's top cookery and wine schools, we offer a wide range of courses suitable for adults and children of all levels of ability.

Brookes Restaurant Cookery School
Unless otherwise specified, adult courses start at 9.15am for coffee, with the course itself running from 9.30am to 2.30pm (approx.). All courses finish with a light lunch and glass of wine or soft drink. Let us take you on a gastronomic tour of Spain, creating a number of vibrant and flavourful Spanish dishes!
This practical course will start with demonstrations by Leon, who represented Oxford Brookes University at international level competition in Spain, two years running, and has a real passion for Spanish food and wine.

This course is a firm favourite. Attendees are always amazed at what they produce and take home.
Be prepared to roll your sleeves up as this course is very hands on. You will be making the doughs by hand using top quality flour and grains from our local mill.
You will be given advice and tips on how to knead, prove and bake to get the best results.
At the end of the session we will sit down to some lovely homemade bread, local cheeses and a glass of wine or soft drink.
Summer Vegetarian Course
9.15am – 2.30pm
Victoria Buob-Aldorf, who runs our 'Taste of France' course, will be returning to introduce you to some vegetarian dishes that are perfect for the summer!
Fresh back from her recent travels she will show you how to make some vibrant and exciting salads, a baked Mediterranean aubergine cheesecake, goat's cheese shallot tart tatin, a crisp seeded flatbread and borani (Iranian beetroot dip).
Junior Cookery School

Brookes Restaurant Wine School
Join our Wine School to complete two great courses offered by the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET). Start with the basics and develop your knowledge over time. A full refund will be given for cancellations received in writing at least FOUR weeks prior to the course. No refunds will be given for cancellations received less than FOUR weeks prior to the course. Non-arrivals will be charged the full fee. A substitute student is welcome at no extra cost. Oxford Brookes University reserves the right to alter the programme without notice.
